BA2a 10 Indie Game Ideas

Blackout Alcohol - A game where you have to try and navigate a city blackout whilst drunk. You need to keep your alcohol levels up high enough so you're drunk, whilst still being able to walk around and not bump into too many people. Maybe use motion related controls where you have to move the phone.

Stuffed Machine Guns - A game where the whole world is stuffed, only the humans are not. Everything you use, everything you eat, its all stuffed. You have to destroy it. You have a machine gun which only shoots stuffed bullets which you made yourself. Its your task to destroy everything.

Ranches From Heaven - You own a ranch in heaven and have to match your unicorn/pegasus/magical horses with the newly dead. You have to figure out the way they died by how they look/talk and what they say. You then have to find a horse that will be suitable for them in the afterlife.

A Caring Mother Always Strikes for the Heart - You are a mother bird and you have to protect your babies. You have to spit seeds directly at the heart of the humans/other animals that come near your nest.

Bee Cylinder Defend - A tower defense game where you are a bee defending its cylinder house, using different bee-related defenses such as honey guns and stinging needles.

Baby Necklace Golf - Golf game, you play as a baby trying to hit your mothers jewellery into the toilet. You have to consider the weight/velocity of the item, and the wind coming from the window as you hit the jewellery with your baby bottle. 

Multi-Platform Any Age

Art Ankle Shop - You own a shop where you make art of peoples ankles. People come in to request commissions of their ankles, and you have to try and keep the shop running whilst also advertising your ankle art and keeping your family fed.

Bait Ghost Family - Game where you are someone who gets rid of ghosts/paranormal activity in peoples homes etc. You have to bait ghosts using your family and their different skills.

Grandmother Tank Sweep - You are a Granny who has a tank. You have to wipe out the whole world with your tank. You can choose from different grannies and different tanks which all have different skills and will aid you in destroying the world in different ways.

Nonsense Bacon Magazine - You are the publisher of a worldwide bacon magazine, informing people of bacon facts and figures, and telling of the interesting stories about bacon around the world. You have to keep your magazine in the top food related magazines by using only the quality and interesting bacon news, facts and stories.

BA2a - Week 1 Summary

In our first week back at university, we started with two lucky dip with random phrases which we had to use and make video game ideas focusing on things like target audience and gameplay. My first was Macho Dinosaur Showdown which I decided would be a Tamagotchi-like game which would have dinosaurs that you train and give protein based food and go to the gym to make it more macho. You could connect the virtual pets together to battle them in a Dinosaur Showdown. The second phrase i got was The Handsome Bin Man, which I decided would be a Dating sim where you date your local bin men and have to leave them the right rubbish in order to romance them. We also learned/recapped more on UE4 and looked a bit into blueprint.
