I decided to experiment with the colours of the insect, as I wasn't sure what would work my insect. I looked at different beetle colours, and decided on a couple to try out on my insect. For the first two I also tried out brushes on Photoshop, to see if patterns would work on my insect. I also tried an iridescent colour, due to many beetles being that strange colour. The iridescent one was a difficult one to pull off, as it comes across as very shiny, with many colours. I think I can work further on the iridescent colour, and maybe improve how I drew it.
