BA1a Insects - Design 1

I decided to work on one of my silhouettes that I thought had more potential for a final design then others. I wanted to put more detail into its design and see what would and wouldn't work. I also started to make basic sketches looking at certain parts of the insects such as their legs. This was so that I understood the creature more closely, and how it may move and live.

This is the first one I decided to build upon. It was infected by a mushroom disease, but decided to live harmoniously with the fungus. I thought that it was an interesting idea to have mushrooms growing on it, and experimented further with its leg shape. I found that the legs did not work very well, and the spider-like legs worked the best with this insect.
