I decided to look at designing the beetle-like insect further, and I started with looking at the wing design. I decided to keep these sketches simple, not too much detail and colour as I thought these would distract you from wing designs. I also used the same bug drawing each time, and only changed the wing design. This made the changes more obvious, and allowed the eye not to be distracted.
